Sunset Lotus

This was a home project, created as I relaxed during a break from school. It is perhaps my favorite drawing so far! Sunsets and flowers have to be some of my favorite things in Creation, and you know what? I thank God for creating the color pink; to me, it represents joy and innocence. The fact that God has given us such a colorful world gives us yet another reason to praise Him (even in a sometimes-gray Ohio!), and it's beautiful that I get to use the same colors that He does.
For a great song expressing a similar sentiment about God's good works, I highly suggest listening to "The Color Green" by Rich Mullins. I suppose I used some of that color, too. ;)
Unfortunately, this piece was washed away by a storm the very night it was created. I look forward to replicating it someday!
